INSTALL THE SOFTWARE

Prior to the Buildathon, you must install the required Autodesk products by registering for the free education plan on the Autodesk Education Community

Use Autodesk Forma Site Design to analyze climate impacts, explore early-stage design options, and improve resilience from the start.

Develop in-demand BIM skills used by architects, engineers, and construction professionals to design and document resilient buildings.

OUTCOME-BASED BIM: DESIGN FOR SUSTAINABILITY

Integrate sustainability into concept designs using Revit and Autodesk Forma. Learn how to perform solar and energy analyses in Revit to optimize building shape, orientation and energy efficiency. Then, explore Autodesk Forma to conduct site and environmental analyses, including solar, wind, and microclimate assessments.

LEARN HOW TO:
•    Create a project site in Forma.
•    Create early stage concept proposals.
•    Use Forma to guide sustainable design decisions.
•    Link data from Autodesk Forma to Revit.

REQUIREMENTS

  • You must be over 18 at the time of the competition
  • You must meet Autodesk’s eligibility criteria for the Education Plan and be enrolled at a qualified educational institution at the time of the competition
  • You must enter as a team – the minimum team size is 2 people, the maximum is 4 people
  • You must participate in the competition briefing session on day 1, and submit your entry by end of day 2
  • Competition entries, including project descriptions must be provided in English
